WFL II Off Season: Trades

{ I engineered a way to evaluate trades that combines real life performance and WFL performance in a way that feels acceptable. This allows trades, which are listed below in rough order of blockbusterliness. }

Defensive PoY Candidate Heads North

Boston shipped DE Bob Dee, LB James Harrison, WR/RB Elroy Hirsch, DB Ty Law, and T Nate Solder to WFL Champions Istanbul in a 10-player, position for position swap with Elvis Dumervil, Joey Porter, Louis Lipps, Brady Keys, and Marshal Yanda heading the other way.

The key here is whether Dumervil continues to perform at an All-Pro level (especially without Ray Lewis next to him) and whether Hirsch can develop into the potential flashed briefly with Lomé in Year I.

WRs Go Home

With an aim towards restoring franchise presence, Dublin sent WRs Ahamad Rashad and Cris Carter to Cape Town for Randall Cobb and Anquan Boldin. Dublin added former New York defensive back Eddie Meador to the deal, receiving John Swain in return.

Carter, based on his Year II performance, slots into the starting lineup for the Makana.

Tatum to Addis Ababa

In an exchange of reserve parts, Beijing sent DB Jack Tatum, DL Michael Bennett, and LB Al Smith to Addis Ababa in exchange for WFL over-performer Jason Belser, Tamba Hali, and Dale Meinert.
