III.04 – TWIWFL: Week Four Draft

We just completed Week IV, which means it’s time for the annual early-season impact draft and depth chart reshuffling!

Here are notes for what happened for each team.

#AAA

Houston Antwine was brought in to add to the interior defensive line.

#AMS

DT Michael Dean Perry was brought in to help shore up a weak run defense. That may seem strange, given how anemic the Amsterdam offense has been, but with Otto Graham out for a couple weeks, there is a sense the problem may have solved itself as Andrew Luck takes the reins.

#BEI

With Travis Kelce out for a while, the Red Stars picked up John Mackey to help out at TE.

#BER

With both Walter Payton and Billy Sims out for a month, Berlin picked up RB Tony Reed, who will slot right into the backfield.

#BOS

With both Elivs Dumervil and Joe Klecko out for a couple months, the Bulldogs–despite the best defense in the league–went for help on the line, bringing in Jack Youngblood at DE.

#CTO

RB/QB Tex Hamer comes in with hopes of shoring up a struggling offense.

#DUB

Lee Roy Caffey joins to help an LB corps weakened by injury.

#IST

WR Tony Hill is called in to help with a greatly depleted group of receivers.

#LOM

Willie Colon has been very rough at G, so the Dzidudu bring in OL Duane Putnam to help out.

#LON

The Fog have struggle quite a bit, but were looking for an upgrade either at C or S. They hopefully addressed the latter picking up Terry Kinard.

#NYG

Especially with Jon Beason‘s long term injury, the Royal Giants looked for LB help in the form of James Farrior.

#RIO

S Kenny Easley should help a struggling pass defense.

#ROM

With a pretty weak pass offense, Rome picked up John Taylor to help at WR.

#SFO

DE Aaron Smith is brought in to help the pass rush and provide defensive line depth.

#SYD

With one of the worst run defenses in the league holding them back, the Great White hope the addition of Ron McDole at DE can shore up the defensive line.

#TOK

When your running game is averaging 2.6 yards per carry and under 20 yards per game and you still take a DE in the draft (Tony Brackens in this case), your defense must be really suffering.
