{ I use a formula that is essentially (career Games / 17) + 1 to provide a limit of how many seasons players can appear in the WFL. Who knows if we ever get to the point where it matters for significant players, but starting in Year III we do have our first player to hit their retirement date. }
Austin Davis
Austin Davis was a surprise in Year I, starting 12 games in place of the injured Jim Kelly for Lomé and completing 65% of his passes for over 3,000 yards. Kelly won the job back in preseason for Year II, and Davis barely made it off the bench.
Still, it was far more of a career than anyone would have anticipated.
8.8 Career AV. 3318 passing yards, 23 TDs.
