There are two questions: does Dan Marino have enough tools at his disposal, and can the defense be, at a minimum, a bit above average. If both of those are answered in the affirmative, Sydney could be playing in the postseason.
OFFENSE
Pro Basic I – I Formation
Not many teams in the WFL actually run a functional dual-back attack. With Larry Csonka serving as a fullback in front of LeSean McCoy or Wilbert Montgomery, Sydney has a potentially impressive ground game, but they will in all likelihood go as far as Marino’s bombs to Harold Carmichael and Jeremy Maclin travel.
DEFENSE
3-4; 6-3; 3-2
Any defense with Reggie White will be decent: the question is if Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, and Eric Allen are able to elevate them to better than that.
COACHING TENDENCIES
Neutral, fewer screens and short passes.
