Cape Town Makana Season Preview

Cape Town could be very strong: a ground game anchored by Adrian Peterson, some spectacular receivers, and a defense that could be among the league’s best. Rarely in this league, the question mark is under center: just how good is Teddy Bridgewater? Answer that, and you know whether the Makana are a top tier team, or will finish in the middle of the pack.

OFFENSE

Pro Basic 1 – I Formation

Bridgewater will have plenty of help: Randy MossLarry Fitzgerald, and Greg Jennings are one of the best trios of receivers in the league, and on offensive line anchored by Randall McDaniel should help as well. But the jury is still out on the quarterback.

DEFENSE

4-3; 5-4; 3-3

This may be the best secondary in the league: Aeneas WilliamsJoey Browner, and Paul Krause lead the way, and with Alan Page and Jared Allen putting up the pressure up front, the defense should be quite good. If there is a weakness, it is at linebacker, where the Makana lack true top-end talent.

COACHING TENDENCIES

Slight run, reduced screen, increased long.
