Dublin Damhas Season Preview

The Damhas could live up to their name and be dancing at the end of the year, as long as their reliance on two-way players doesn’t end up more of an Achilles heel than a roster-expanding strength.

OFFENSE

4Wide – Pro Set

Aaron Rodgers will be asked to throw the ball. A lot. It’s not so much that, behind Eddie Lacy, the Damhas lack backfield talent; it’s more that, when you have Andre JohnsonDon HutsonSterling SharpeRandall Cobb, and DeAndre Hopkins, you really should throw the ball. A lot.

DEFENSE

3-4; 5-3; 2-4

The defense is complicated: there are lots of substitutions between run and pass situations, and it’s not clear how that will work in practice. But as long as they can run J.J. Watt out there every play, and as long as he gets support from a strong linebacking corps led by Clay Matthews, Jr., they should be fine, especially if the secondary–which is strong but not very deep–can stay healthy.

COACHING TENDENCIES

Strong Pass.
